 How to Stay Fit and Healthy while living in a Hostel

Hostel Life :- Where strangers become friends and every day is an adventure. You don't just share a room, you share stories, laughter and memories. Sleep is optional but fun is mandatory in hostel life but don't forget to take care of your health.


Hostels have more duties and responsibilities that they have to do alone. It is important to take care of yourself and your health. Follow some things to stay healthy in hostel.


Follow some guidelines to stay Healthy in a Hostel - Nutrition Tips and Exercise Ideas.

1. Routine - having a fixed routine and setting up your priorities is the key to manage time for your academics and personal life.

2. Balanced meal - apart from eating outside food items, have healthy snacks in your room in between meals : like fruits, dry fruits, sprouts etc.

3. Hydration - keep a full water bottle all time. Lack of water in the body can cause dehydration, impact the thinking and lot of other health issues. Hydrate yourself after a rigorous workout or after a cricket or football match.

4. Sleep - It's very essential to have a good sleep in daily routine. Lack of proper sleep hampers the functioning of a person in day today activities. It effects your concentration and mental state.

5. Workout - Do more physical workout to improve brain health, keep overcome obesity, strengthen bones and muscles and also improves stamina to do everyday activities.

6. Market Magic - Ditch the supermarkets and dive into local markets. Stock up on healthy delights.

7. Stairway to Fitness - Ditch the elevator and make staircase your personal climbing gym.

8. Listen to your Body - Pay attention to your body's signals hungry or stressed? Take a break with healthy snacks.

 9. Eat a Balanced Diet - try to eat a variety of foods including fruits, vegetables, proteins and whole grains. This will help ensure that you are getting all of the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy.

10. Try to have a Boiler in your hostel - In this you can boil eggs and complete your daily protein requirement.

11. Do regular exercise and yoga just for 15 minutes. Do eat food at night time and don't skip food.

12. Taking a short walk to nearby places around hostel accommodation would keep you to bond with your surroundings.
